Human of Beautiful Business: Arun Chaudury, Obama’s Official White House videographer

“I was handed the world’s best set and the world’s best cast of characters and all I had to do was hit record”

That’s how Arun Chaudury sums up his role as the first Official White House Videographer, a position created for him at the beginning of the Obama administration.

Arun traveled extensively with the President, capturing public events and behind-the-scenes moments as well as producing and packaging presidential tapings for the Internet and broadcast television. He is the creator and architect of “West Wing Week”, the first-ever online video diary of the White House.

Of his time there, he reflects: “It wasn’t the glamourous moments, but the ordinary moments that seem so much more surreal when viewed through the lens of the White House”.

Proclaiming it a “pretty tough act to follow”, Arun is currently Creative Director at Revolution Messaging and was recently Digital Creative Director for Senator Bernie Sanders, heading up the team that made the graphics, videos, and photos for the Bernie 2016 presidential campaign.

Hear Arun discuss his unique perspective on the political world and his vision for the future at The House of Beautiful Business, taking place in Lisbon, November 3–10th. Alongside start-up founders, executives, nonprofit leaders, investors, writers, philosophers, scientists, designers, technologists, artists, we will be discussing and prototyping how to lead with purpose and passion; how to build human companies and workplaces; and how to design for deeper connections in an age of exponential change and massive societal disruption.

Hosted in collaboration with the BCG Henderson Institute, the House will serve as salon, stage, and sandbox for people who are keen on rehumanizing business and exploring meaningful conversations around humanity and technology. You can find more information and buy tickets at:
